Introducing D2, our first coaxial X8 multirotor- ideal for missions where heavy lifting plus redundancy, are required.

With near identical proportions to D1 and sharing a main frame with it’s siblings, it offers the same payload capacity as our D1-X, with added safety of an X8. A capable cargo hauler, when combined with a cargo compartment.

Optimal battery placement

As with all our multirotors, this unique main frame holds a pair of Tattu 12S, 16000 MaH Smart UAV Batteries, internally. This optimal placement of the single heaviest component- perfectly centered along all three axis, helps improve flight dynamics, while allowing simultaneous use of top and bottom rails for usable payload. Furthermore, it permits the quick and efficient placement of your D2 in it’s case, without the need to remove batteries, when it is safe to do so.

To make D2 as compact and portable as possible, every protruding feature folds, with nothing to detach- including it’s folding landing gear, which can optionally be removed for use of our quick disconnect payload accessories- soon to be available.

Sealed compartments

A set of three sealed compartments provide protection against elements for on-board electronics. There are no exposed components, wiring or connections.

Off the shelf electronics

The electronic components used in our quadcopters are virtually all “off the shelf” items, making DIY repairs simple, efficient and hassle-free. These include Pixhawk Cube, Mauch PDB’s and BEC’s, as well as FPV components. Additionally, while Copterworks is ready to perform any repairs needed at our facility, we fully support our customers with spare parts for DIY repairs.
